Configure your business agent using site facts, conversation steps, private Q&A and a one-time 20-token setup reward.
Two Nila roles
The floating personal assistant guides account holders through Vanilla Market. The Studio sales agent helps visitors on the business’s own site using that business’s information. Support Nila does not read sales conversations or change settings itself.
Where to configure
Open /dashboard, then Studio → Smart agent. The tool contains Sales agent. Information already on my site shows existing knowledge, including products and questions. Catalog, price, shipping, returns, pickup and accessibility facts come from configured site data; missing information must not be invented. Do not promise analysis of every page or every historical site item.
Four guidance fields
Purpose identifies the agent’s role and service. Conversation steps guide qualification, matching and the next action; the starting-example action offers editable text when empty. Business background and differentiation describe experience and strengths, distinct from qualifying questions and the tone selector. Boundaries specify commitments to avoid, such as confirming availability or a final price without the business owner. These fields guide AI; they do not guarantee perfect compliance. Published website facts and safety rules prevail over conflicting notes. Do not claim complete legal immunity.
Private questions and answers
Add editable question/answer pairs for the agent, not a public website FAQ. Starter suggestions and deletion are available. Complete both fields or remove the row. Up to 20 pairs are supported, with 300 characters per question and 1,000 per answer. Do not invent prices or discounts; owner-written referral instructions can direct visitors to the business owner.
Setup gift and tokens
A successful save with a nonempty purpose allows an eligible account to claim a one-time 20-token onboarding reward. This is neither a daily reward nor 20 messages. Repeated saves do not award it again. Reward-locked accounts are ineligible; returning-account protection does not guarantee blocking someone using a different email. The gift enters the general token balance, not automatic agent reservation. Reserved tokens move tokens from that balance into the agent budget; reducing reservation returns unused tokens. Save settings. One token is charged when a conversation reaches the visitor’s second message, covering up to 15 visitor messages in that conversation. The first message is not charged, but starting a new conversation requires at least one reserved token. Simulator conversations use the same tokens and charging rules; there is no daily free quota or reservation-free test mode.
Testing and showing on site
After reserving and saving, use Start test in Test conversation. Starting a test saves current settings; when Show on site is enabled, this is not an isolated unsaved draft. Testing is possible with site display switched off. Ask realistic questions, revise guidance or private Q&A, and save again. To activate for visitors, enable Show on site, reserve tokens and save. Without available budget the launcher is hidden for new visitors. Do not guarantee availability in every account state without checking.
Answers and handoff
The agent discusses only the current business. For photo or product-preview requests it may link to an available product page of that business, never another business or an invented URL; embedded chat images are not promised. Pickup and accessibility are discussed when relevant, not recited in every reply. WhatsApp handoff requires explicit visitor sending, not an automatic message or database lead record. Conversation continuation is stored locally in the browser for up to 24 hours for the site, not as an owner-readable transcript archive.
