Where the Add Section button lives, how the section library is organized, and the difference between editing content and designing via chat.
A Vanilla Market page is built from sections — purpose-written content units, not generic widgets, so each one loads fast and is crawled cleanly by Google.
Where to add
In /dashboard/editor, inside the Pages panel, use the ➕ Add Section button. A picker opens with a search field ("Search sections...") and sections grouped as:
- Header and first impression — site header, announcement bar, hero, search bar. - Media / visual — image, image with text, gallery, slider, image marquee, video, text and heading. - Store and business content — products, categories, pricing, blog posts, FAQ, spacer, invitation banner. - Smart elements — countdown, timeline, stats counter, flip deck, layout block. - Call to action and contact — contact, social networks, custom links, bookings, lead form / RSVP, reviews, map, feed, QR code.
The same picker also offers ready-made content templates that add a whole sequence of sections at once.
After adding
The section is added with neutral starter content and appears instantly in the live preview. Every section has two separate buttons:
- ⚙️ Edit Content — the manual fields: heading, text, images, items. - ✨ Design via chat — a Nila conversation that changes style and colors only, never the content.
Saving
Reordering is saved with Save Order. Content and design changes are saved with the save button, and Publish saves and refreshes the preview.
Step by step
1. Open the Pages panel — In /dashboard/editor, select the "Pages" panel. 2. Open the section library — Click "➕ Add Section" and search in "Search sections..." or scroll through the groups. 3. Pick a section — Click the section you want; it is added with starter content and appears immediately in the live preview. 4. Fill in the content — Open "⚙️ Edit Content" and fill in the heading, text, images and items. 5. Save — Save the content, and click "Save Order" as well if you reordered sections.
FAQ
Which sections are locked behind a plan?
As of today no section in the library is plan-locked — all sections can be added. Plan limits exist elsewhere, for example blog articles and additional pages. I added a section but don't see it on the public page.
Order and content are saved separately: click "Save Order" after reordering, and save the content. "Publish" saves and refreshes the preview. What is the difference between Edit Content and Design via chat?
"Edit Content" holds the manual fields — heading, text, images and items. "Design via chat" is a Nila conversation that changes style, colors and mood only, never the content. Can I add more than one section of the same type?
Yes, for most sections. For example, a second products section can display a different group of products.
