Tips for choosing a professional
Check official registration
Ensure the organization is registered as a non-profit with a valid management approval from the Registrar of Associations. This indicates transparency and oversight.
Look for financial transparency
Reliable organizations publish financial reports and show where funds are going. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
Read recommendations and reviews
Look for reviews from previous donors and volunteers. Others' personal experiences can help you make an informed decision.
Check digital presence
A professional organization will invest in a digital presence — a website, social networks, and an organized digital business card that facilitates contact.
Start small
If you're unsure, start with a small donation or one hour of volunteering. This way, you can get a closer impression of the organization before a larger commitment.
